Your garage access card has an RFID chip in it. Your credit cards, work IDs, gym cards, key fobs, etc. all have RFID chips in them. This technology is used broadly. We use a limited portion of the numbers encoded on the RFID chip. This means other chips with unique IDs may present as a card in our system.
DO NOT HOLD YOUR WALLET UP TO THE GATE. Take your garage access card out of your wallet and present it alone to the reader. If you use your work pass, or any other card is close, it will be read. It might even work, but it also may record as someone else's access card. When that person shows up they cannot get into the garage or exit the garage.
Please be considerate of other patrons and yourself; present your access card without other cards nearby. Thank you!
